Question related to back up generators installed during a solar installation:
For many years my clients have claimed their backup generators as part of the solar system if installed at the time of the solar installation & on the same invoice. No one has gotten called on this to date. Don’t ever give out tax advise (unless you’re licensed to) as it opens you to liability should you give them the wrong advise and they get audited by the IRS.
