Yes, our product is NEMA 6, so is pretty robust once the DC and AC cables are connected. That said, our M215 Installation and Operation Manual states that the microinverters should not be installed in a location that allows for "long term exposure to direct sunlight." The challenge with north facing locations is that the sun does pass to the north of direct overhead for several hours a day in the summer months. Depending on the amount of exposure during the summer afternoons, this could be problematic.
