I have had very few reliability issues with the Shurflo 2088 series, and have a dozen of them in the field for clients in 12V, 24V and 120VAC. My house is full-time, as is my guest cabin, both have 2, one 12V for house pressure and one 120VAC underground for filling the cisterns from springs.
The diaphragm pump head is easy to rebuild or replace, as is the pressure switch. I've only had to do that once at my house, after 15 years of service. I recommend the heat sink version at 12V, that can be a failure point if run time is extended. Other failure point - lightning with the underground spring pumps. ALWAYS use a pressure tank, even if it's just the little Shurflo one, otherwise they surge and pulse, which will reduce motor lifetime drastically.
