Seems like an unnecessary gimmick to me. That said, I switched to Milwaukee M12 for light tasks and M18 for heavy use and I’m very happy. They even make combo M12/M18 multi-charger. The M12 are super light and the M18 are very good. They also have a better selection for oddball tools. Perhaps the best feature is that I’ve been buying knock-off batteries online for cut rate prices with excellent results.
