Hi Tump;
We are in the process of getting a customer claim on a 24 module array
of BP modules. We were contacted by Innovative Energy a solar company
in Colorado that is performing the inspections for the claims. I'm not
sure if there are other outfits handling claims for different areas.
Their number is 970 453-5384.
Also I can say these BP modules are extremely hard to troubleshoot. One
is shattered, a few show obvious burn marks on leads under the glass,
but many are much more elusive. Some work in full sun but not in lower
light conditions, while others work in low light but then stop in full
sun. Our trouble shooting notes are crazy, but eventually lead to the
conclusion that all the modules should be replaced, as none can be
trusted. My best guess is that the contacts are loose and that thermal
expansion ( or contraction) causes the connections to be
intermittent. I've been suspicious of this array for years, but
couldn't really understand what was happening, because it is also a site
with quite a bit of intermittent cloud cover. I thought trouble
shooting the old Solarex failures was tough, but these BPs are the
weirdest I've ever looked at.
I advise they all be replaced, they're that bad. A large multinational
company like BP should back up the warranty without legal action
needed. When we sold these modules, the BP name lent assurances that
they would back up their products.

Keep finding these jewels…..NOT functioning, no surprise there!
Does any one have the present contact for submitting claims to BP on their
modules? I know there is a class action suit but was hoping for BP to step up
to the plate and address their issues, with out waiting for things to go thru
court. Thanks in advance. T
