The reports or news I have heard is THAT PRICES will go up for
residential and small commercial projects by at least 10 cents minimum per
watt and maybe even higher wiping out the 30% credit , but not much for
large utilities projects . Paula Mints in her videos predicting analysts is
almost always I ll spot on . I wonder if the tariff which is now going to
Trumps desk will be backdated to apply to major importers and even
distribution stock ? My suggestion if you have available cash to buy all
the modules you can from companies on the Stock Market like Hyundai , LG ,
Panasonic , etc that have more than one iron in the fire . If there is a
minimum price tariff of .78 cents a watt on imported cells and modules it
will be bloody like 1986 ! At the end of the year you need to buy all the
inventory you can anyway for tax purposes. The President is off in Asia but
will probably sign off on ??? after he gets back before December. Any real
ideas on how this will effect pricing as to modules already in the supply
chain down to the disruption to distributors would be nice to know off
from other products that this happened to effect I.E.an example. At this
time of year due to taxes you can hardly lose by buying modules, because
from what I see only SolarWorld may not be effected . No one seems to know
but THE PRICES are going up to residential customers and small commercial
including those 12 and 24 volt modules that almost all come 99% from
overseas . Hope it is a small headwind and not a cyclone to push against
but it was s obvious that SEIA lost this battle to stop the price increase
. Real important is to act before the tariff can effect your future
customers. Gator Tom
