boB,
This message about the BTS from late January gives me cause to ask a related question, please: What is the functional relation between the Outback and Midnite sensors?

Background of my question: Years ago I somehow convinced myself that the two were interchangeable. I thought that I had heard this from Robin or yourself, but now I suspect I brainfarted this into my reality. Having learned that they're not interchangeable I have replaced under my warranty the five I could identify as having OB sensors with Midnite sensors. What I'd like to know is the real-world effect of my mistake on my clients' batteries, especially the two systems that have sealed AGM. Could you offer a comparison of the two in terms of, say, voltage rise at 0ºC?

Thank you,

Yep.  No problem.

It's polarity independent also so if one of the ends of the phone plug is backwards, it shouldn't matter.

10K Ohms nominal 25 degree C value for the thermistor if anybody cares.

Is it ok to extend the battery temp sensor wire for a classic controller?
Length might be around 25 ft max. Original is 15ft.
