Hi Mac, You could look into an Auto Transfer Switch such as the ASCO 185 series that will do this. The larger $$ units such as the 7000 series have a lot more programming options in them.

Meaning that if priority voltage source (grid) isn't available and second source is available it will switch to it with no external communication?
