And with all Enphase adapters, don't forget to check for continuity and
connector seating before assembling. On occasion, we've found opens in the
adapters.

Ran into the exact situation last install season with Enphase. After a lot of
back and forth emails with pictures basically showing them I wasn't losing it,
they finally deduced that they were packaging them wrong. So the package part
number is correct but the adaptor inside the package is wrong. You'll have to
dig deep into their engineering staff to clear this one up. I'm sorry but I
couldn't find any emails on who I ended up dealing with on the issue.

Except, the other end is Amphonel, not MC4. And the inverters are MC4.
