The linear current booster is capable of increasing current on say motor start-up, once the motor is started, its current needs dropdown. A battery has high current capability, so I would not expect any advantage in an LCB. If the LCB is of the buck-boost type you may be able to run a 24-volt motor from a 12-volt battery be careful an LCB can overvoltage a motor.
