I have two of the inverters from Cyboenergy that I purchased about 6 years back. The off grid N model works fairly well with medium to large loads but will not run to operate things like Makita battery chargers or other small electronics unless another base load like a fan is added. It definitely never operated in the manner by running it’s own battery charger that they sold and marketed. I believe the newer unit accepts higher PV voltage now as well as the ability to operate with 48v nominal battery banks while initially it was only 36v. Overall I concluded the only application for it was to run something simple like a large AC fan. The hot water heater model never worked for me either and all I ever got from them was excuses. It’s possible these products have evolved and improved but at the time it seemed like the founder was over burdened since he was also the one providing tech support. At $1100 each it was an expensive experiment much like the Heart Transverter I purchased in that same time frame. Both were hard lessons on trying to support the little guy.
Seems like the Phocos Anygrid would be a better option if going down that road. I’ve been wanting to purchase one for awhile now but have no experience with it yet although I’ve been impressed with Phocos products in the past.
