It should be fine. I have a few deployments using LFP batteries, including 
SimpliPhi 3.8s on XW-MPPT60-150, etc.

I figured since Fortress and Discover have similar documents, SimpliPhi would 
as well:

I recommend upgrading the charge controller to the latest v1.09 software. If 
you don’t  have a COMBOX or setup tool, that may be harder than doable.
