Hi Kris,

I started using the Bosch D-tect 150 a few years ago after a friend who had
success with it recommended it. Works great on most roofs. It needs a
smooth surface to roll on so I use a piece of Soladeck box. Older roofs
with ply over roof boards don't scan very well so I sometimes go back to
the mallet method.

I also highly recommend the Chip Tool! Every installer should have one.
It's best use in my opinion is for installing fall protection. I don't
recommend it be used with a "micro flashing" though, as the pilot hole next
to the rafter may only be barely covered by the "flashing".

Best,
