Andrew, As long as you have proper over current and wire sizing, there shouldn't be a problem with paralleling C60s. Of course, keeping the batteries at 12v for a 2kw array makes everything else bigger and more expensive. And they won't get the MPPT advantages of even 20 year old charge controllers.
