I am getting more and more requests these days for very small PV systems to run minor AC loads. I recently cobbled together a kit for a security system on a tiki hut. It ended up being more expensive than I wanted it to be and overkill for the application.
I just had a local government contact me with a request for several ultra small systems, and I was hoping to find an off-the-shelf kit that is plug and play. I don't have time to cobble together a bunch of small systems. It's easy to find DC kits for things like vehicle gates and lighting, but I can't find anything for small AC loads. In this particular case, all they need to operate is an Intermatic mechanical timer and a small controller with latching solenoids. I imagine something like a 100W solar panel with a small battery and 100W inverter would do the trick. Does anyone know of a source of small off-the-shelf kits like this?
