Peter,
I had a similar situation with my own personal installation — SolarEdge 7.6 
plus RESU-10H.  Replaced the battery, which worked for a minute.  Replaced the 
inverter, which also worked for a minute.  Replaced the battery a second time.  
Replaced the SolarEdge a second time.  Finally, everything worked.  It was the 
first replaced inverter that was at fault, although I never got SE to admit it. 
 When it arrived, the box was kinda beat up, and the inverter looked used.  I 
suspect it had come back from another customer and SE just shipped it back out 
again to someone else (me).  The second inverter was a new one and worked 
correctly.

If you can get someone to answer the phone, try to get SE to replace the 
inverter.  The chances that your problems are because of an unshielded CAT 5 
cable are between zero and none.
