We ran to an install by others that had a Radian 8048 for backup tied to a Generac auto transfer switch & the 12vdc from the Radian was the 12volt power source the Generac control card had died & we had to buy another Generac ATS & gut it to get another controller, they would not sell just the controller card. We installed the entire switch gear & controller.

I put on my calendar ~3 years replace all gen-start FLA batteries because the consequences of them going dead are pretty bad.
