What conditions lead re2c to add code to reset the YYMARKER? I was lead to believe that YYMARKER pointed to the start of a string matching a given regex pattern but I've stumbled on a case where re2c's code updates the YYMARKER midway through a pattern match.
So, how does re2c handle the YYMARKER?
