Hi Dan,

You might want to check out Sean's Mach-II Development Guide (or at least bookmark it.) I found it quite helpful when first approaching OO. It's a good overview of MVC as well as event-driven architecture. And yes, I did have to read it many, many times before things started to really sink in. ;)

Don't get hung up on the syntax if you aren't going to use Mach-II (though knowing more than one framework is always a Good Thing.) The concepts are what you're after.

Of course, there's always Sun's Core J2EE Patterns page, which is sure to give you a nosebleed, but is also worth bookmarking.

Hi everyone,

With all of the unfamiliar terms for us newbies, does anyone know of an OO
Glossary that us nOObs could reference? If not, I think that would make a
great first project for me. I could register ooGlossary.com and then allow
people to submit definitions for oo terms.

If you guys don't know of a resource already in place for this type of
information (and I realize there are disparate resources all over the place,
but I'm looking for a single spot), then I'll register the domain name and
consider that my next learning project.

Thanks,

Dan
