Sean (and anyone else),
I found the problem. The person who created the database tables had not designated a primary key (although the intended key field was set as an identity).
When Reactor couldn't find a primary key, it decided it didn't need a "read()" method and didn't generate one. Once I corrected the tables and ran the file again, all worked properly.
