Um, i hestitate to keep this thread going along, because I'm sure
you're all bored with it - thats if any of you are still reading it.

Jared, I'm trying to understand how what you're saying would fit into
my situation.

Am I right that you're describing various web apps that all belong to
one person/company? In my case they all have to be kept separate.
Let me use some real examples. They're shown on my afpwebworks.com
site in my portfolio, so its hardly a secret ......

On my dev server i have the following (amongst others):

http://localhost/hawkrado/ - the radio station's site.
http://localhost/hawkradio2006/ - the yet-to-be-deployed new site
for the radio station
http://localhost/redback/ - the heavy engineering company - a client
http://localhost/auslegs/ - the wood turning components company - a client

All these files have to be kept separate. I can't see how I could work
if they weren't.

On the production server they are to be found at:
http://hawkradio.org.au
http://redbackgroup.com.au
http://auslegs.com.au

Are you saying you would have these app files in the same location on
the server under the same web root, but users get to them by putting
their domain name into the url and being redirectred to some folder in
the same site?

Cheers
