Thanks for the thoughts. I did consider that isGTE might not work for date values. That's why I tried a numeric value, as in my second example:

<cfset where.setMode("and").addWhere(where.createWhere ().isGTE("Document","changeUserID",5)) />


The reference is to an integer field, and it fails, too, with the same "does not exist" error.

('Course maybe I'm screwing it up somewhere else; but I don't think so.)
