Oracle definitely stores table, column and other object names in uppercase. I had coded it to always uppercase but Doug had removed it.

Doug, I should have explained my reasoning better.  I’d be happy to add it back in.  Just let me know.

Subject: Re: [Reactor For CF] Oracle and uppercase names

I have been running into this same issue. The types of issues it creates are hard to diagnose.  This  might be due to my inexperience with Reactor, but I have thought on more than one occasion to sort out the case sensitivity in Reactor/Oracle..

I am interested to hear what the powers that be have to say on this....

( looks at Beth Bowden and Doug Hughes)

I tried searching the archives, but got no hits on this.  I'm using
the latest reactor code against Oracle.  when using the object name
attribute in reactor.xml, the name value has to be in uppercase.
Looks like its because the data dictionary stores everything in
uppercase.  Appears to act up in reactor.data.oracle.objectDAO
anywhere a tablename is used.

Has this been touched on before?  Was the concensus to leave as is?
