Honestly, I'm a little leery about public wikis.  I briefly had one for reactor that was vandalized after only a few days.  If that repeats I'll probably see if I can disable or lock down the wiki in trac.

Vandalism is indeed a threath to any Wiki; in my view, the best defense is a combination of "accepted" (or acceptable) editors with content versioning. I'm not sure if Trac has a "restore version X" function in it's Wiki, but it is certainly possible to add user authentication and thus limit access to the editing functions in the Wiki (I don't have the Trac docs at hand, but I know it can be done). The bad news is that someone will have to manage the user accounts... best think this through before putting it into action.
