Because Reactor isn't even in Beta yet, it might not be good to put it on a live Client Paid site until Doug releases at least a stated stable Release Candidate. Even then using RC on a Paid Client site may not be wise, I think most the people here would agree. I have been using reactor on our company sites internally, but that is because I have complete control over the sites and their future, so I can at any time switch my Data API framework if need be.

Best bet is if it's a Client, wait until at least in release candidate stage before using it. If it's a site under your direct control, help us get it to that stage. ;)

I'm about to start working on a live client-paid site, and using reactor as one of the elements.

Given that this is a live site, and not experimental, which version of Reactor should i get?  (I'm not usually comfortable with using bleeding edge technology on a productoin site, I usually prefer not to pioneer in that circumstance, but stay just a step or so behind the bleeding edge).   i.e. which is the latest stable release?
