We are looking at a situation where we may be running Reactor in a
clustered environment. The idea is to initially have two servers both
running CF and MySQL4. One server will have the master database and
the other will run as a slave using mysql's replication. We plan on
having two datasources, one pointing at the master that will run the
admin side and the occasional writes that are required on the apps
front end, the second will point to the slave and will handle the
reads on the front end that make up ~95% of the database traffic.
I was just wondering if anyone had any idea of how we could go about
configuring this set up in Reactor? Does it make sense to have two
reactorFactory objects pointing at the same DB schema and the same set
of CFCs, one for the read-only datasource and one for the master
datasource? We would alway be running in production mode in this
environment and our deployment process could allow us to have the
master Reactor instance fully initialise before the read-only version
was called. Are there other alternatives that I'm missing?
Thanks in advance.
