How about we stop this thread?  The goal of Reactor is to provide a ColdFusion ORM mapper that is easy for most people to use.

This is an application support project and open source.  It si great that everyone is finding bugs and providing greater support.  That is the goal of all open source.

Now, I agree that we should have alternate distributions of the product, but that is at the mercy of the originator and those who are directly helping him.

Is it a good idea to have zips? Absolutely.  I also liked Peter's suggestion of the SSL connection to solve the firewall issue.

As far as I know, the API is not being modified and bug fixes are the primary level of effort.  A few months ago, there were a great deal of releases.  Sometimes daily releases it would have seemed.  Now that the versions have slowed, it would make sense that getting the latest download right as it comes out is not going to prevent you from using the already existing version that most frequent users already have.

Now to say that most people here need therapy is not what this community is about.  It is by in large not called for.  If you feel frustrated and need to vent, I would suggest to speak offline to the person you have an issue with and find a common ground.  The list is to help people adopt the product, new ideas, bug reports and constructive criticism.

If you subscribe to the list, we accept that when you comment here, you are here to help and not hinder.  If you desire to frustrate others, please think before typing and walk away before you say things that do not help anyone.

Thanks in advance,
Teddy
