Please bear in mind that IANAL (I Am Not A Lawyer) so that is based on *my* understanding of the licenses (and a bunch of discussions I've had with Dave Ross, Chris Scott, Doug Hughes and Joe Rinehart about the issue). I would urge everyone who actually cares about this issue to go and read GPL, LGPL and ASL licenses and some of the comparisons that have been written up on the 'net to get a sense of the issues.
Sounds like MG *must* go ASL then?
Well, that's up to Joe but my understanding is that staying LGPL will make Reactor and MG:U a "no-no" for a lot of companies who have to be concerned with such licensing issues... -- Sean A Corfield -- (904) 302-SEAN An Architect's View -- http://corfield.org/ "If you're not annoying somebody, you're not really alive." -- Margaret Atwood -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Reactor for ColdFusion Mailing List [email protected] Archives at: http://www.mail-archive.com/reactor%40doughughes.net/ -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --
