Dave, I recall getting this once after I had made several changes in my database (refactoring effort) and I had left in a "hasOne" reference in my reactor.xml file to a table that no longer existed. the symptoms were very similiar to yours. I had also wiped out the project folder and could see some objects being re-created but not all.
