| Brian, I think we're saying the same thing: I just meant that the method to return the name should be on the level of the Gateway (next to the getAlias() method). W. I think the Gateway should know the alias of the table, but there is no reason for it to know what table name the alias maps to. If I've defined an alias for a table in my XML, and for some reason the table name changes or is moved to a different schema, I would have to go update all the custom Gateway methods to use the new table name. If we had a getTableName() as I am suggesting, you wouldn't have to change anything except the Reactor XML file. Basically, this seems so simple to implement and such low-hanging fruit that I can't see any possible reason why it shouldn't be included. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Reactor for ColdFusion Mailing List [email protected] Archives at: http://www.mail-archive.com/reactor%40doughughes.net/ -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- |
