I'll see how I get on, but one last question:
Will Reactor call Convertion.lastInsertedIdSyntax() if supportsIdentity() is 
false ? What does Reactor do if there is no LAST_INSERTED_ID equivalent (such 
as in Informix) ?

I think there is a 90-day trial version of the DB @
