Yes - Dan is 100% correct.  I don't care about ducks or any other type of
water foul.  All I care about is Reactor going faster.

Doug is referring to removing the type checking from the Functions and
Arguments. From my understanding, the type checking of complex types
involves a lot of overhead. Thus, removing those types reduces the
overhead. While often lumped in the Duck Typing Category, it is not
part of the same debate.
