What they (we) mean by "blowing them away" is to delete the files(data-access layer) that Reactor has generated. You would do this whenever you change the configuration in a way that would break the application.

Changing the dsn, switching to a different type of rdms, a number of things could be changed that would make the generated DAO's, Gateways, etc. incompatible with the new environment.

You need to be aware, too, that it's possible to have Reactor-generated files that don't appear in your IDE. Double check by browsing the file system in the target directories - \Reactor\project\yourProject, and the directory you specified for Reactor to output files to...

hi,

thanks all for help... scaffolding is up and running... the <Scaffold> tag needed to be moved inside the <eventhandlers> tags

however i did notice that if i had created an app with incorrect setting, for example in the coldspring.xml file:

<property name="dsn"><value>WRONGVALUE</value></property>

and then later tried to correct the mistake the app seemed to break beyond repair...

I have hear you guys talk about "did you blow away reactor files" or something like that...

is that relevent here? how do you blow away reactor?

thanks (again)
Gabriel

Something in your earlier post doesnt jive and will be part of the
problem after you put the scaffold tag inside the eventhandlers tag.
If you are using Model-Glue Unity/Scaffolds, the reactor information
goes in the reactor config bean in coldspring.xml, not in the
reactor.xml as you described you had.
Good Luck,

Hopefully, the issue with case-sensitivity w Oracle has been fixed. If not,
