No, I understand exactly what you're saying. But I don't believe the problem
I ran into had the same source.

I'm really not a database guy, but I don't think there's anything equivalent
to Oracle schema in my MSSQL databasea -- at least not in this particular
case. And in my situation, the fields were specified 10 or 11 times.
Certainly, there were no schemas -- or even database user accounts -- to
account for that many duplications.

And the Reactor objects created for a couple of other tables in the same
database (which have the same users, etc.) didn't exhibit the same behavior.

Basically, that's why I stopped trying to solve that particular problem. I
couldn't find a hook to begin working on. No commonalities that I could
find, although that could just have been my own myopia.
