I agree. Continuing from above (which I've so conveniently snipped), I'd rather have a warning that something ISN'T infix than a warning that something IS.
FWIW, I quite like the "a /convoke/ b" syntax. It's also very easy to type - just brush your pinky over the key before and after. And it looks like italics.
