Excellent. I'm glad you brought this up, because Slashdot has failed me. 
I've been fairly interested in the development of this language. I don't 
agree with Graham on every aspect of language design (he's a Lisper, 
what can I say...), but I respect his opinions and choices.

IMO he shot himself with the "[]" syntax.

It looks like a lot of the work went into removing spurious parenthesis 
- in "let" and "with", and even "[]". That should make it even more 
amenable to indentation-based syntax.
