I also believe that the all inclusive XML and binary formats are/were
a bad design choice. I simple don't get why a project can't be broken
down at the filesystem level and a simple text source format can be
used. It's simple, flexible, effective and requires Z-E-R-O effort on
RS part to implement team development. If you absolutely must offer a
combined project format, why not just allow to bundle all files into
a virtual-volume?
While I can appreciate the potential benefits of a multifile text
based format, as a single developer I prefer the simplicity and
compactness of a single file format. So I hope that RB doesn't loose
one in the process of accomodating the other.
It would be great to have an option to do one or the other.
