It won't write to the DB if someone happens to have it opened and is adding
a record ot altering the structure of the database.

Is there any trick to be able to access a network drive? When I run my app
on
my computer, it read and saves to a database fine. However, when I install
the app and db on a network drive which is accessible by several windows
machines, it reads the db but does not write to it (although its possible
there is an
older db on the local machine which would mean it doesn't read or write to
the db on the network drive).
(RealSQLdb, development on mac 10.4.4, app running on Windows)
