I'm looking for a document--based application template. Must have:
- RB 200x compatibility
- Mac OS X and Windows compatibility (Linux and Mac Classic not
needed)
Nice to have:
- Undo and printing frameworks
- Platform-appropriate toolbars
My alternative is to dust off an old one and bring it up to date, but
mine doesn't have the nice-to-have features. I know how to search the
usual sources, but was wondering if anyone cares to recommend one from
recent personal experience.
My UndoFlattenEdit example project incorporates an Undo and a
serialization framework. I'd happily work with anyone who wanted to
expand it to a more general-purpose RB framework with some of the
other features you mention.
I venture that you won't find a better Undo framework, and I am not
aware of any other general-purpose serialization framework.
UndoFlattenEdit was written as an exemplar of OOP design principles.
Dissecting its design will form a significant part of my forthcoming
book on Object Oriented Programming with REALbasic.
