It's quite feasible. I've done such a tool. I have my own controls class
drawn in a canvas. The're not Realbasic controls. I've implemented the
usuals statictext, editfield, pushbutton, pagepanel, my own version of
listbox with expandable editable cell linked with my own SQL cursor with
automatic updating, etc

The reason why? Many reasons, but there's two : They have the behavior I
want for each of them and they are the same on each platform. The control
also have costemic look on each platform...
