Yes, this thread is a good thing, but, based on the past
experiences with threads like this, I do not think we will have any
tangible results anytime soon. There were some complaints about
compile speed in the past year, and the best I could see from the
RS guys was "We do not see what you see" (which would explain a lot
of things).
