True enough. I had similar problems with Photoshop and AfterEffects. They weren't crashing, they were just putting some ugly blotches in my design work. After a while, I found out that one particular game always crashed on my system. By removing Ram, and retrying the game, I narrowed it down to a single 512meg stick. Removed it, and from then out everything was great.
That stick had passed every Ram test I could get my hands on, yet it was totally the fault of my problems. I've no doubt that bad Ram could appear to be fine, yet cause problems in RB.
