Not right?

Here is an string that I just checked on my HD-2
file:///Volumes/Data/HomePagesAtWork/ibolya-new/hamnen.html

That's the absolute path which also includes a / at the beginning

Nope, it is NOT an absolute path, it is an urlString created from an folderitem and converted to an urlString by REALbasic (The html file exists on an another Volume than Volume(0)

Here is the absolute path: Data:HomePagesAtWork:ibolya- new:hamnen.html

But the Data volume is mounted in the Volumes directory (which is at the root, /) so the absolute path really does start with the / character.

Open a terminal window and move to your directory then do a pwd.

This is the same Folderitem (Note the space in the 'Ibolya new' )

UrlPath or string: file:///Volumes/Data/HomePagesAtWork/ibolya%20new/ hamnen.html
Absolute path: Data:HomePagesAtWork:ibolya new:hamnen.html

Shellpath or POSIX path: /Volumes/Data/HomePagesAtWork/ibolya\ new/ hamnen.html

As I could se there are no 'string' that is the same... Perhaps the name urlPath, Absolutepath or POSIX are wrong? In fact there is an very big difference how that strings are built.... An therefore it would be nice to use the correct name.
Only the absolutepath using space in the 'Ibolya new' ...
