In the console apps the rbframework is a dylib so it is separated out for you already

This is only true for Mac OS X (Mach-O) console apps. At least the last time I tried, the Windows and Linux console apps include the entie RBFramework in each tool... and at the time I was trying out CGIs uploaded to my webserver. This made for approx 1.1 MB upload every time I wanted to debug it. I would like to see that Windows and Linux Console apps also had the option of an external library.
