Currently I keep all of my RB files in a shared folder on my Windows XP
machine since that machine is almost always on. When I want to
work/develop/debug on my Mac, I simply connect to that shared folder and
open from the Mac. Works great with RB 5.5. (Yes, I've kept two licenses.
Sometimes I find it easier to just develop on the target machine rather than
remote debug.)

With RB2006r1 I'm noticing two problems...

* If I save the project file in the Windows shared folder, I lose my build
settings and my Mac app settings (i.e. names). I didn't notice this at first
because sometimes I keep two separate project files, with the same
references to externals (where I do this I have my reasons).

* Say I open a project on the Mac, do some work, save, close. Go over to the
PC, open the same project, do some work, save, close. When I go back to the
Mac, RB2006r1 refuses to open files touched by the save (project and
externals) on the basis of insufficient permissions. If I go to my PC, drag
the subfolder out and back into the shared folder, this is fixed. RB5.5
never messed with the file permissions.

Anyone else have a similar setup and see this? Anything I can do other than
report the bugs? I want to keep my current organization. I've been
considering a network drive any way but I don't want to go that route if it
has the same problem since network drives are not Mac formatted. I could
move the central storage to my Mac if accessing the other direction has no
problems, but that's a bummer because my Mac is not always on given the room
it's in.

Ideas?
