Also forums can only be read while on-line...
down loaded messages can be read at your
leisure even when you don't have a connection
(laptop or your ISP is having problems)
Mailing lists give me more control overall and are more efficient for me.

I also whole heartedly agree!! I just joined the
forum, spent a couple of hours there, did not
learn much there.
