How exactly do you expect to get the fix if you don't upgrade to the version that contains it? I guarantee they don't have a time machine that will allow them to go back and put this fix into 2006R1. I agree it should be fixed, but it's senseless to argue that they should give it to you for free because you really really want it but don't want to upgrade.

And BTW, you don't pay $199.95 to get a bug fix; you pay $199.95 to get ALL the new features and bug fixes released in the next twelve months. When you no longer wish to get bug fixes and new features, then stop paying -- and please stop expecting bug fixes or new features at that point.
