Joseph,

I own you an apology as Joe Huber did email stating that I was lucky it fixed it but it's really not a true fix. Here is what he said:

"One way to do this is to think of your layout in inches. Keep track
of all positions in inches using double variables.

  MyBox Top = 0.6, Left = 0.6 Width = 7.0 Height = 4.5

Then when doing the actual drawing convert to pixels based on the
current print (or screen) resolution.

dim res as double = printersetup.horizontalresoluiton
Graphics.DrawRect (Left * res, Top * res, Width * res, Height * res)

This will draw the proper sized box no matter the printer's current resolution."

You and Joe are more then likely right as I may wind up with more issues down the line, so I best get at re-doing the whole damn thing again.

Thank you

Jonathon

One thing, you were right as it wasn't exceeding the 72 DPI, but his system was UNDER that 72 DPI setting of 36 DPI as I got it to do the same thing on my system after I set the ps.MaxHorizontalResolution=36 and ps.MaxVerticalResolution=36. The same double sized printout as was on his system was now on my system.

Right. The point is, setting the MAXIMUM resolution to 72 will not at all affect a resolution that's less than the maximum, such as 36. Maximum resolution means: if the resolution is set GREATER than that value, then it will in fact be clipped to that value and not something greater. If the resolution is set less than the maximum, then it's left as it is.

So, I'm glad you got it working, but I fear that it's just working by coincidence -- either you inadvertently changed something else, which is the real fix; or you're relying on some bug in REALbasic that as a side effect happens to correct the problem you were seeing.

Best,
- Joe
