Define a boolean variable "Painting"
In your paint event :
If Not Painting Then
call you paint redrawing routine
Thanks. My problem turned out to be that I as I was updating
listboxes the box's change method would fire, which would in turn
call a method to read the changes, etc. By the time it unwound I
ended up with six dozen paint calls.
As it turns out, the way I got around it, since i normally do want
the change method to fire, was to do something similar to what you
said. I set a flag that I was updating, and in the read method if
that flag is set I ignore the calls.
