Unfortunately this is a know bug that affect sqlite since version 2.
Only Apple has developed a solution right now for the library
included in OSX 10.4 and this fix isn't yet merged in the official
distribution.
For who is interested the Apple bug is described here: http://

I believe that REALSQLDatabase's are not supported on a network
volume under
OS X.
Then, this question comes to mind: What's the difference between
a local volume and a share?
There might be some difference, but more or less any app that
I know of, works in a share.
Could someone explain?
I believe that there is a problem with one of the file APIs that
SQLite 3
uses on OS X. A search of the SQLite mailing list should reveal the
background.
